Gordon’s is proud to present our 2019-2021 Pow wow Princess and Youth Ambassador, Miss Jade Lynn Bird.

Jade is 14 years old, in grade 8 attending the George Gordon Education Complex. Her parents are Allison Cyr and Ronald Bird Jr.  She is the eldest of 5 brothers named Adrese(12), Jerron(9), Avery(7), and Tae’ohn (5). She has lived on George Gordon First Nation her entire life.

Jade started dancing powwow when she was 6 years old, after watching her grandmother Donna and adopted sister Bailey dance. She loves to dance jingle, fancy and traditional.

She has travelled all over Saskatchewan and the United States with her grandparents Ron Bird Sr., and Donna Kahnapace.

Jade states, “I ran for the title of Senior Princess to represent my First Nation where I am very proud to come from. I wear my title with pride and am honoured to represent our Youth and Nation Members in the Pow wow circle.  I am not only a powwow dancer but I am very athletic and love to play sports. My favourite sports are Volleyball, Softball, Cross Country running and track & field. I also enjoy putting on makeup, doing tiktok dances, and hanging with my best friends and cousins.  I encourage all of our Youth to get involved in Pow wow and sports and to do what they love.
