The GGFN Climate Observatory is owned by GGFN and operated by Wicehtowak Limnos Consulting Services LP. We aim to provide state of the art climate and environmental monitoring data that will contribute to the national initiative of the Indigenous Community-Based Climate Monitoring Program.
Our overarching objective is to initiate a community conversation on science, climate and climate change. Our state-of-the-art weather station and monitoring program will inform the community of George Gordon First Nation of environmental changes that they are experiencing by providing them real time readings from the main weather station.
We are funded by the Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Indigenous Community-Based Climate Monitoring Program.
