Parks & Recreation Assistant
1-year term

Under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Coordinator the Parks & recreation Assistant will support the development of a multi-year plan for the Nation while maintaining current trails, pathways and common facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Valid class 5 license
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • A strong understanding of the Nation.
  • Ability to work under physical strain.
  • Previous community related experience an
  • Ability to work under minimal
  • Valid CPIC

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with setup, tear down and the operation of special events and functions.
  • Setting up seasonal operations as directed (i.e. clearing trails, cleaning equipment, trail and park signage, and setting up sports fields)
  • Will perform his/her duties and ensure that assigned employees/volunteers work in accordance with the GGFN Safety
  • Policy and Procedures as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including all applicable regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Parks and Recreation Maintenance technician or designate
