Summer Student – Term Opportunity

The Geroge Gordon First Nation Summer Student Program supports the daily operations of the organization by assisting with administrative, operational, and project-related tasks. This Full-time temporary six (6) week position provides valuable hands-on experience while contributing to departmental goals and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist staff with day-to-day operational and administrative duties.
• Perform data entry, filing, record maintenance, and document preparation.
• Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
• Provide customer service and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Conduct research and gather information for reports and presentations.
• Maintain organized workspaces and ensure materials are properly stored.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Attend team meetings and participate in training opportunities.
• Temporary full-time or part-time position during the summer season.
• Work may be performed in an office, outdoor, or operational environment depending on departmental needs.
• Some lifting, standing, or physical activity may be required.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed high school, college, university, or a recognized post-secondary program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
