  1. Introduction

George Gordon First Nation (GGFN) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide technology services, including but not limited to specific services, such as IT support, network infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, etc., to approximately 90 employees.

GGFN is committed to promoting Indigenous hiring, training, and business opportunities as part of our broader mission to support economic reconciliation and community empowerment. We strongly encourage Indigenous-owned businesses, organizations with demonstrated commitments to Indigenous engagement, and other qualified vendors who share this vision to submit proposals.

  1. Project Overview

Provide a brief description of the project, including:

  • Objectives – To provide daily and month to month technology services support daily for entire environments and staff that GGFN owns, operates and controls.
  • Scope of Work – Provide technology setup, ordering of hardware, software, implementing, testing and ensuring full secure operational needs are met for the GGFN buildings and staff.
  • Deliverables – Provide stable ongoing technical support on a month-to-month Service Level Agreement (SLA)/Contract agreement approved by the GGFN authorized designate.
  • Project Timeline – Month to month re-occurring on approved written SLA/Contract approved by the GGFN authorized designate.
  1. Scope of Work

The selected vendor will be responsible for:

  • Tasks and responsibilities, e.g., day to day network and desktop support, systems installation, maintenance, hardware & software procurement, hardware & software setup and installation including cell phones, emails and video calls, consultation, development and implementation of online forms, training, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Providing opportunities for Indigenous employees or subcontractors to participate in the project.
  1. Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include:

  • Company Profile, including experience and qualifications.
  • Description of services to be provided.
  • Detailed project plan with timelines.
  • Cost estimates and pricing structure.
  • Approach to Indigenous engagement, including:
    • Commitment to hiring Indigenous professionals.
    • Training or mentorship programs aimed at building Indigenous capacity.
    • Partnerships with Indigenous-owned businesses or organizations.
    • References from similar projects.
  1. Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Experience and Qualifications (25%)
  • Technical Approach and Project Plan (25%)
  • Cost Competitiveness (20%)
  • Commitment to Indigenous Hiring and Opportunities (30%)
  1. Submission Instructions

Proposals must be submitted by 4:30 pm on May 12, 2025, via email. Late submissions will not be considered.

  • GGFN reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals.
  • This RFP does not commit GGFN to award a contract or pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal.
