Requirements for Applications:

New registrations for 15 years and younger.

  • Long form birth certificate. (with both parents listed)
  • Registration application.
  • Guarantor Declaration.
  • Photocopies of the parent’s identification. (i.e. SGI photo I.D, Passport, Birth Certificate, Health Card, Valid Certificate of Indian Status)

New registrations for 16 years and older.

  • Long form birth certificate. (with both parents listed)
  • Registration application.
  • Guarantor Declaration.
  • Photocopies of Identification. (i.e. SGI photo I.D, Passport, Birth Certificate, Health Card, Valid Certificate of Indian Status)

Secure Certificate of Indian Status Application (SCIS).

  • SCIS Application.
  • Photocopies of identification. (i.e. SGI photo I.D, Passport, Birth Certificate, Health Card, Valid Certificate of Indian Status)
  • Two unaltered Canadian passport style photos.
  • Sign your name in the white box provided on the application without touching the borders.

Certificate of Indian Status cards are done for George Gordon First Nation members only. Two pieces of valid identification are required. (i.e. SGI photo I.D, Passport, Birth Certificate, Health Card, Valid Certificate of Indian Status)

Band Transfers – Submit a letter to the I.R.A with your Full Name, D.O.B, Status Number and reason why you are requesting to be added or released. The letter is to be signed and dated.

Treaty Annuity Payments – Treaty Day is during the month of May for George Gordon First Nation.
