CALL OUT FOR FNLM LANDS AUTHORITY
The George Gordon First Nation Land department is seeking 5 (five) GGFN band members for the GGFN First Nations Lands Authority (FNLM).
Duties of Land authority shall include.
- Advise council and its staff on matters respecting George Gordon First Nation land and natural resources
- Recommend Land laws, resolutions, policies and practices respecting George Gordon First Nation land and natural resources.
- Consult with members and non members on George Gordon First Nation Land issues, and to make recommendations on the resolutions on those issues to Council.
- Oversee community meetings, community approvals and ratification votes regarding lands; and
- Perform such other duties as may be delegated or assigned by resolution or Land law under the land code.
Successful candidates will be expected to commit to a minimum of 4 meetings a year, with additional Ad-hoc meetings can be called by the Chair as required to address specific issues.
