We are responding to the COVID 19 Pandemic that was declared on March 11th, 2020.
Our Health Centre has updated their community Pandemic Plan and Emergency Response Plan. George Gordon First Nation ls implementing and taking all precautionary measures, in the best interests of our Community,
Until further Notice all FN related sporting events, Community Gatherings are on hold. All travel for Governance and GGFN Staff is restricted, we are working to ensure operations continue. We will continue to monitor and update accordingly. Emergency planning is in place and available preventative resources are made available to the Community.
There is a established levelled plan that involves support to members who choose to self-isolate. Please let any health worker know if you show signs of the virus.
Protect Yourself from Respiratory Illness:
• Wash your hands frequently – for at least 20 seconds.
• Do not touch surfaces and then your mouth, eyes or nose.
• Use tissues when you cough or sneeze and dispose of them immediately, use your elbow if a tissue not available.
• Practice social distancing by not shaking hands, hugging, etc.
• Stay home if you become ill and prevent the spread of the illness.
GGFN Operations will continue as per usual, there will be Regular Updates as pandemic progresses.
